Amy Spain is the founder of The Mercy Seat Foundation which is located in Atlanta, GA. She is a native of Carrollton, AL and currently resides in Georgia where she aids in the fight against homelessness, an epidemic that plagues our nation and others abroad. According to statistics there were approximately 564,708 homeless individuals in the Unites States in January of 2015. Though Amy has never experienced homelessness it is a matter near and dear to her heart. After relocating from Alabama to Georgia she witnessed the heartbreaking wave of the hundreds of individuals who'd been displaced. A matter which she could not turn a blind eye to. Though America is dubbed as the land of prosperity not everyone is prosperous and Amy believes that as Christians it is our civil duty to help those in need or to at least put them in a position whereas they can help themselves. Amy began her journey in 2003 and has yet to give up on her mission. If you would like to help Amy in the fight against homelessness please click the DONATE button.
